1) I led a last minute Saturday morning trip for hopefully some pedal boats but none showed up. Paddle kayaks were also welcome. Conditions were going to be perfect - first cold front of the fall had just passed, temps in the lower 50s, sunny, with small craft advisory winds out of the Northwest. Bay Minette Creek was made for days like this. Most of the winds are blocked by the dense trees. Nick, a paddler, decided to brave the cool weather. This abandoned houseboat was our turn around point. You can see the waves weren't very bad on the water here, however, if you went out into Mobile Bay, there were whitecaps all over the place. |

2) It wasn't long before we were in short sleeves on this trip. The sun was a great warmer. We saw a couple of osprey, a buzzard, and some deer. The cardinal flowers are almost gone. This was a very enjoyable trip. Thanks Nick! |
