01/26/2012 - Eslava Creek

America the Beautiful

A moderate rain of about an inch in two hours causes Mobile's
storm water system to send Mobile's uncontrolled litter into Eslava Creek.

The floating litter causes Dog River resident Elvira to get out
with a net to start removing the nasty litter floating by.

I hate seeing this. Just hate it. I miss seeing beautiful living birds and sunsets, sweet flowers and rich blue skies.

These photos make me sick.

Sorry. I just take photos of what I see on kayaking trips. The reality of Mobile's rivers suck . The other day when it rained, TV reporters interviewed people asking them their thoughts on the rain. "Oh, I haven't seen it rain this hard for a long time..." "Rough weather today..." Blah, Blah, Blah. They could be out reporting this, but scenes like this don't attract viewers.
