04/05/2012 - Eslava Creek

Header image is a photo of Dog River shoreline.

This is shoreline on Dog River that I personally cleared all the litter from about six months ago. It is disheartening to see the trash is back and getting thicker after every rain.

The obligatory wood duck photo featuring Mobile's beautiful shoreline.

DaTube is still in DaWater.

Another aerosol can containing chemicals that probably should not be released into the water can be seen in this photo. Do you see it?

Shoreline trash comes in all sizes.

If a water skier falls on this they will be seeing red.

Y'all come back and visit Mobile's Dog River Scenic Blueway again, ya hear? What is Mobile's strategy to deal with their storm water generated trash? "What trash? I don't see any trash."

But hey, what is a little plastic floating on the water compared to roughly 9.9 million pounds of toxic discharges poured into Alabama's waterways in 2010? Got cancer yet?

Some home owners are resorting to putting up home made boom to keep the storm water propelled litter from entering their boat canals.

Look at all the white eggs. Will they hatch into baby moon pies?

Here are some pretty yellow iris flowers.

An empty egg carton being utilized by plant roots. Happy Easter.
