This morning's sunrise on Dog River. Everyone knows this type of noisy bird - it's a whirlybird (Helicopter).

A long ago sunken boat begins to blend in with the rest of the area.

I went up to Dog River Park to see if the trash from the Coastal Cleanup was still there. Thankfully it has been removed. This is a nice little picnic area with a scenic view.

North of Dog River Park are several bridges to go under - a big water pipe, a railroad, and Interstate I-10.

Both the great egret (white) and the great blue heron (gray) are about 50 percent neck.

Great blue heron.

A young Muscovy duck and its sibling stare at me as I paddled by.

Right near them in the water was one of their feathers.
